Compass Group

Safety

At Compass, we operate a safe, injury-free and healthy workplace to serve food that is always safe to eat. That is our top priority.

Our approach is based on education, intervention and collaboration. Sharing lessons learned across our businesses has been fundamental to maintaining our solid track record in safety.

While each of our operations across the world adopts processes specific to national safety risks and legislation, all apply three key Group protocols:

Workplace Safety

We are dedicated to nurturing a culture of safety, continually enhancing our safety management systems to achieve health and safety excellence. Singapore also leverages a bespoke safety management system supporting leadership safety interactions, operational risk assessments and incident management.

Safety performance is a key focus of our Board and Corporate Responsibility Committee, ensuring transparency and continual monitoring.

Food Safety

Our suppliers undergo a rigorous approval process, swiftly addressing identified areas for improvement to prevent future risks. Compass Group Singapore follows the ISO 22000 food safety management system standard and conducts thorough training on hygiene, food handling and storage to mitigate risks.

We proactively manage food safety incidents with strict reporting protocols and rapid responses, continually sharing insights internally for ongoing improvement.

Personal Safety

Our safety culture stresses the importance of incident prevention and intervention. Through awareness, information and training, we empower our people to take responsibility for their own safety, and that of those around them.

Safety Governance

We have built a culture prioritising safety, with training that promotes harm-free behaviours in our team’s daily routines. Health and safety are staples in Board discussions, with policies reviewed annually for relevance and compliance. Our people own their safety, supported by safety leaders at all business levels.
